Mumbai: Serial actor and model Siddhant Veer collapsed and died while exercising at the Suryavanshi gym. Active in Hindi serials and TV shows, the actor was very keen on exercise and fitness.
At 12.30 pm, he was taken to Ambani Hospital in Andheri and was declared dead. Hospital officials said the cause of death was heart attack.
The number of athletes dying during exercise in their forties is increasing. According to reports, Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar died at the age of 46, Hindi serial actor Siddharth Shukla at the age of 41 and Deepesh Bhan at the age of 41 due to excessive exercise.
Comedian Raju Srivastava (58) suffered a heart attack while exercising. He died last September after being on ventilator for more than a month. Siddhant Suryavanshi rose to prominence in 2001 with the TV show Khusam. Popular TV shows in which he acted include Qayamat, Mamta, Parathig, Control Room, Suryaputra, Krishna Arjun and Waris.
