by time news

The Magistrate’s Court in Ramla (the Honorable Justice Hisham Abu Shehadeh) yesterday (Tuesday) sentenced the prisoner Bnei Sela to 24 months in prison, a suspended sentence and compensation of NIS 5,000 for the IPS prisoner, for an indecent act he committed while standing near his holding cell. The court ruled that the detention period would cumulatively excuse the other prison sentences handed down to Sela in the past.

According to the indictment, filed by Adv. Yael Ben Shmuel, the complainant served as a prison guard at the Ramla Magistrate’s Court, where Sela arrived for a verdict in a previous case in which he committed an indecent act before another IPS prison guard.

The warden complaining in the present case, was standing next to Sela’s cell when she noticed that he was looking in her direction with his penis exposed and he was committing an indecent act in her face. Sela Kfar attributed to him but after hearing the evidence was convicted of committing an indecent act.

Advocate Itai Bar-Oz, who represents Sela on behalf of the Public Defender’s Office, stated that “my son claims his innocence and we intend to appeal the court’s decision. It is important to note that in recent years my son has been seeking treatment and IPS officials have recommended it.

About two years ago, Sela appealed to the Supreme Court after a particularly delusional petition he filed was denied by the district court. Sela Halin in an appeal to the court that during one of the meals in the prison where he is staying, a waffle was served as a final dish – instead of a cake in a hush that was listed on the menu. Eventually Judge Ofer Grosskopf, as expected, announced that the appeal was dismissed. “In my opinion, this is not a weighty issue that justifies granting leave to appeal.”
