The 22nd Commonwealth Games are being held in Birmingham, England.

The women’s T20 cricket match will be played against Barbados today. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team, placed in the ‘A’ division, faced off against the Barbados team in the 3rd league match. Barbados won the toss and elected to bowl.

Accordingly, the Indian team, who batted first, scored 162 runs for 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Jemima Rodriguez scored a half-century. He scored 56 runs off 46 balls. Shabali Verma was dismissed for 43 runs. Deepti Sharma scored 34 runs.

Subsequently, the Barbados team entered the field with the goal of winning if they score 163 runs. Indian players bowled accurately and took wickets. In the end, Barbados scored only 82 runs. India won by 100 runs.
