Two golds and a silver for an Iraqi Paralympic weightlifter, qualifying him for Paris

/ Today, Sunday, Iraq achieved three Paralympic medals in the World Weightlifting Championship currently taking place in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, the results of which are considered qualifications for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Financial Secretary of the Iraqi Paralympic Weightlifting Federation, Jabbar Tarish, told Agency, “The veteran Iraqi weightlifter, Fares Saadoun, received three medals today, (two gold and a silver), in the World Cup competitions currently underway in Egypt,” stressing that “the weightlifter Knight, after achieving three medals today after lifting 230 kg, will have officially qualified for the 2024 Paris Paralympics.”

He added, “Iraq raised its tally after our weightlifter, Fares Saadoun, obtained three medals to six colored medals, four gold medals, one silver medal, and the same number of copper medals.”

The weightlifter, Mustafa Salman Radi, won the gold medal, and the Iraqi Paralympic weightlifter, Rasoul Kazem, received the second gold medal, and the weightlifter, Muslim Aqeel, received the bronze medal in the ongoing World Cup Weightlifting Championship in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, which qualifies for the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
