The competitions of the 29th Azerbaijan Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship have started at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Day.Az reported on Thursday with reference to Trend.
The competition will be held from March 21 to 23, with the participation of students from the Ojag Sports club, the Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve in Gymnastics, the Republican Complex Sports School, the Grasiya sports club, the Kur Olympic training and sports center, the Olympic sports club of the city of Ganja, the Zira Cultural Center and the Olympic Sports Complex in Sumgayit.
The Azerbaijan Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship is held among athletes performing in an individual program (exercises with ribbon, hoop, clubs and ball), in the age categories “pre-junior” (born in 2011), “junior” (born in 2009-2010) and “adults” (born in 2008 and older). Also participating in the competition are teams in group exercises among “juniors” (born in 2009-2011), who will demonstrate exercises with five hoops and five clubs.
