Congress constituencies Trichy and Arani were changed this time. Arani MP Vishnu Prasad has been given an opportunity to contest in Cuddalore. But Trichy MP. Tirunavukarasara was not given a chance anywhere. This has caused a shock in the Congress circles.
In this situation, Thirunavukarasar has issued a statement with concern. It states:-
I once again offer my thanks to all the voters of Trichy Parliamentary Constituency, who contested as a candidate in Trichy in the last election by giving me unprecedented votes and won as a Member of Parliament by a margin of about 4,60,000 votes, the largest margin among the Congress candidates in India.
In the last 5 years except about one and a half years affected by corona virus, about 17 crore rupees from the development fund of my parliamentary constituency have been spent in this constituency for the welfare of the people and for public welfare works.
288 tasks have been completed by me in six assembly constituencies. In Kendriya Vidyalaya schools, I have worked honestly and sincerely, without any bribery or corruption complaints, in all the work starting from the admission of students.
My heartfelt thanks to those who wanted me to contest again in this election, those who tried to help me for my chance, and those who tried to prevent me from contesting in this election because I should not continue as a Member of Parliament.
