In Narva, Europe Day will begin to be celebrated on May 8 – on this day, citizens will enjoy an extensive cultural program and the opening of Stockholm Square.
On Europe Day, May 9, at 15:00, a café area will open on Town Hall Square, and the Narva College of the University of Tartu will host a labor and training fair “The Future of Ida-Viru County”, where vocational and higher education institutions, enterprises and foundations will share information about opportunities training and work in the region. The Unemployment Insurance Fund will offer quick career counseling on site.
School classes will be able to try their hand at orienteering around the city. The main prize will be an excursion for the whole class worth 2000 euros!
President Alar Karis, Narva Mayor Jaan Toots and Swedish Ambassador Ingrid Tersman will give welcoming speeches before the big free concert, which starts at 17:00 on Town Hall Square.
