The world’s first corona infection was diagnosed in China in late 2019. Following that, while the United States and other countries, including India, were fighting the corona, China brought the corona under control.
It was in this context that the corona began to re-emerge in China. Daily corona exposure there has been steadily increasing over the past few days. The corona is said to have spread to local cities in China and by travelers from abroad.
In China, 528 new cases of corona have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, compared to 337 yesterday. Of these, 126 were from abroad and 402 were non-foreigners.
Furthermore, the Chinese Ministry of Health does not declare asymptomatic infections as confirmed infections. Of those, 586 were diagnosed with asymptomatic corona infection.
The number of corona victims in China so far has risen to 1,12,385 as a result of these new infections. There were no new casualties by the corona. The death toll from corona infection in China so far stands at 4,636.
