The incidence of corona in Salem district continues to increase. As of yesterday, 1,087 people had been infected. Yesterday, 1,457 new cases of corona were confirmed in the test. Corona vulnerability has reached new heights to an unprecedented extent. In Salem Corporation alone, 663 people have been affected by corona. Similarly, 78 persons from Omalur, 52 persons from Panamarathupatty, 57 persons from Ayodhyapatnam, 67 persons from Tharamangalam, 64 persons from Veerapandi, 24 persons from Edappadi, 51 persons from Sankagiri, 27 persons from Kolathur, 17 persons from Attur, 33 persons from Outer Districts including 49 at Thalavasal, out of Salem. A total of 1,457 people have been affected by the corona, including 5 from the states who came to Salem. A 75-year-old man from Salem was suffering from corona and was being treated at a private hospital. But the day before yesterday he died suddenly. This brings the number of corona victims in the district to 1,738.
Two more policemen were infected with corona at the Konganapuram police station.
