China was the first country to issue a vaccine passport certifying immunization for Covid-19. It can be obtained on the WeChat platform, currently only available to Chinese citizens and not mandatory. The certificate contains a QR code which allows the authorities of other countries to obtain health information from tourists from China. At home, a QR code system is already used to regulate access to transport: an app produces a green code if the person concerned has not been in close contact with infected people.

Israel, the green book for those who can travel

Israel, where the vaccination campaign is proceeding at one of the fastest rates in the world, the Ministry of Health has introduced a green booklet for citizens who have already received the two doses of Pfizer. essentially a vaccination certificate valid for seven days after administration of the second dose. Those who have it can avoid isolation after contact with a positive, after a trip abroad, but above all they can travel to the green islands, tourist areas of the country (and to Greece and Cyprus). However, it does not become exempt from the obligation to wear a mask.

Denmark, free from 21 May but with Coronapas

Denmark has set May 21 as the day on which most anti-Covid restrictions will cease to be in effect: in fact, the date on which all high-risk patients and all over 50s are expected to be fully vaccinated. For now only for domestic use – but the health authorities do not rule out using it later, for expatriation – Coronapas can be downloaded from the ministry website or received on paper. And it already allows access to non-essential services such as hairdressers, cinemas, restaurants; in the future to travel.

Saudi Arabia, the Mecca test: pilgrims with the app
