There are 59 infections detected today, August 19, in Friuli Venezia Giulia on 3,206 molecular swabs with a positive percentage of 1.84%. There are also 1,978 rapid antigenic tests performed from which 9 cases (0.46%) were detected. According to the bulletin released by the Region, there are no deaths, while there are 10 people hospitalized in intensive care (a patient vaccinated only in the first dose is added to those of yesterday) while the number of hospitalized patients under treatment in other departments decreases to 26.
The total deaths amounted to 3,795: 814 in Trieste, 2,015 in Udine, 673 in Pordenone and 293 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 104,808, the clinically recovered 98 while the people in isolation drop to 861. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 109,598 people have been positive (figure reduced by 3 units due to an unconfirmed antigen test and two cases removed) with the following territorial subdivision: 21,699 in Trieste, 51,197 in Udine, 21,941 in Pordenone, 13,271 in Gorizia and 1,490 from outside the region. As far as the regional health system is concerned, the positivity of a doctor in the Friuli Centrale university health authority was detected, while there were no infections among the guests of the residential facilities for the elderly or among the operators of the same. Finally, the case of a person returning from North Macedonia should be noted.
