LOMBARDY – There are 21,329 new infections from Coronavirus today, January 28, 2022 in Lombardy, according to Covid-19 data from the latest regional bulletin. Since yesterday there have been 77 deaths in Lombardy. In the last 24 hours, 175,870 swabs were processed, of which 12.1% were positive. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the victims have been 36,958 in Lombardy. The number of hospitalized continues to decrease: in intensive care there are 252, 2 less than yesterday; in ordinary departments 3,164, 100 less than 24 hours ago.
There are 6,522 new Covid cases in Milan, of which 2,371 in the capital city. Followed by Brescia with 2,940 infections, Bergamo (+1.950), Monza and Brianza (+1.849), Varese (+1.860), Como (+1.277), Pavia (+1.152) and Mantua (+1.072). Three-digit increase in the other Lombard provinces: Cremona +865, Lecco +509, Lodi +408 and Sondrio +295.
CAMPANIA – There are 11,319 coronavirus infections in Campania today, January 28, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the regional bulletin. Another 35 deaths recorded (32 of which occurred in the last 48 hours and 3 occurred previously, but recorded yesterday). New cases were detected on 79,198 swabs.
In Campania there are 99 Covid patients hospitalized in intensive care, 1,387 Covid patients hospitalized in hospital wards.
PUGLIA – There are 7,855 new coronavirus infections today 28 January in Puglia, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 13 deaths.
The new cases, identified through 69,159 swabs, are divided as follows by province: Bari: 2,370; Bat: 807; Brindisi: 758; Foggia: 1,268; Lecce: 1,581; Taranto: 991; Residents outside the region: 36; Province under definition: 44. 128,440 people are currently positive, 731 are hospitalized in a non-critical area and 65 are in intensive care. SICILY – There are 7,100 coronavirus infections in Sicily today, January 28, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. The new cases were identified on 45,761 processed swabs. The positivity rate is 15.5%, yesterday it was 15.2%. Another 47 deaths have been registered, leading to 8,424 victims since the beginning of the emergency.
The current positives are 231,716 with an increase of 2,137 cases. The healed are 5,474. On the hospital front there are 1,601 hospitalized, with one more patient than yesterday, while in the intensive care unit there are 145, five fewer cases.
PIEDMONT – There are 10,979 coronavirus infections in Piedmont today, January 28, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the regional bulletin. 11 other deaths recorded. The new cases (of which 8,488 after antigenic tests) are equal to 11.6% of 94,608 swabs performed, of which 82,553 antigenic. The asymptomatic are 8,621 (78.5%). There are 8,193 screening cases, 2,010 case contacts, 776 with ongoing investigation.
The number of people admitted to intensive care is 132 (-5 compared to yesterday). There are 2,110 inpatients not in intensive care (-1 compared to yesterday). There are 154,300 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 14,074,793 (+ 94,608 compared to yesterday).

VENETO – There are 16,518 new coronavirus infections today 28 January in Veneto, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 31 deaths, considering the difference between the total indicated yesterday by the Ministry of Health and that present in the bulletin released today by the region.
Currently positive people are 256,879. Cases since the beginning of the pandemic have risen to 1,119,366, deaths to 13,097. The number of patients in the non-critical area dropped to 1,810 (-37), while 194 (+9) grew in intensive care.
ABRUZZO – There are 3,102 coronavirus infections in Abruzzo today, January 28, 2022, according to numbers and covid data of the regional bulletin. Registered 7 dead. The new cases, relating to people aged between 1 month and 100 years, which bring the total from the beginning of the emergency – net of realignments – to 208,051. Of today’s positives, 2,057 were identified through rapid antigen testing.
The death toll of patients recorded 7 deaths (aged between 77 and 81 years, 2 in the province of Chieti, 1 in the province of Teramo, while 4 date back to recent days and were communicated only today by the ASL) and rises to 2,793.
Compared to yesterday, 293 recovered. The currently positive in Abruzzo are 106,162 (+2,797 compared to yesterday). There are 412 (-3 compared to yesterday) patients hospitalized in the medical area; 40 (unchanged compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 105,710 (+2,800 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. In the last 24 hours, 6,519 molecular swabs were performed (1,908,848 in total since the start of the emergency) and 2,0171 antigen tests (2,544,326).
The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 11.62%.
TUSCANY – The new cases registered in Tuscany were detected on 68,127 tests of which 19,510 molecular swabs and 48,617 rapid tests. The rate of new positives is 15.45% (73.2% on first diagnoses). Yesterday there were 12,357 cases on 72,375 tests, with a rate of new positives at 17.07% (76.0% on the first diagnoses).
BASILICATA – There are 1,154 coronavirus infections in Basilicata today, January 28, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the regional bulletin. Recorded 3 more deaths. The new cases were identified on a total of 6,664 swabs (molecular and antigenic). The deceased people resided in Lauria, Rotonda and Tursi. 756 healings were recorded.

SARDINIA – There are 1,331 new infections from Coronavirus today, January 28, 2022 in Sardinia, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been 4 deaths since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 24,409 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic swabs on the island.
34 patients admitted to intensive care units, 2 more than yesterday. Patients hospitalized in the medical area are 367, 36 more than yesterday. In isolation at home 22,645 people.
EMILIA ROMAGNA –
There are 16,941 new coronavirus infections today 28 January in Emilia Romagna, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 30 deaths.
