Two passengers aboard the first North American cruise ship to sail after the pandemic began in March last year tested positive for Covid. This was announced by the Royal Caribbean company, according to which the two passengers of the Celebrity Millennium who shared the same cabin are in isolation and asymptomatic. All passengers on board over the age of 18 and crew members received both doses of the vaccine, Royal Caribbean said, which did not disclose details on the two positive passengers.

The cruise ship sailed from the Caribbean, from the island of St. Maarten, last June 5, where it is expected to return tomorrow. Passengers, who must show the vaccination certificate and the negative test to Covid before boarding, are still subjected to swabs on the ship.
