Covid, WHO: -9% new cases and -15% deaths in 7 days

There are over 5.3 million new ones Covid-19 cases recorded globally in the week of August 15 to 21, 9% less than the previous week. At the regional level, the number of new cases reported weekly decreased or remained stable in all six WHO regions. In particular, the African region marks -25%, the European region -20% and the Americas -18%. The United States (2,714, down 13%), Japan (1,624, -1%), Brazil (1,105, -26%), Italy (677, -26%) and Australia (490, -9%).
