The President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, met today, Friday, with the coaching and administrative staff and players of the Olympic team before its confrontation with its Vietnamese counterpart, which will be held today at the Al-Janoub World Cup Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Asian qualifying competitions for the Paris Olympics.

The President of the Federation said in a statement to the Football Association received by the (INA): “We have high confidence in your abilities to provide a good technical performance that qualifies you to appear in a distinctive way that contributes to achieving the set goal of reaching the semi-finals.”
Darjal added: “Today’s match is pivotal, and requires more efforts and full focus, and implementing the duties assigned to it with great accuracy, reinforced with enthusiasm and determination to win.”
The Federation President concluded his speech by saying: “You have many abilities that make you highly prepared for the match, and bring you closer to victory, even though there is no easy match.”
