Doha: The Ministry of Labor has announced that the restrictions on summer working hours in outdoor areas will be lifted from today. The ministry also stated that the legal period for banning work during the day will expire today. The ban on compulsory work in open spaces between 10 am and 3:30 pm will no longer be in effect. Companies can also hire workers during these hours.
Daytime work was restricted until the end of the country’s heavy summer in mid-September.
The work ban is based on Ministerial Resolution No. 17 of 2021 on Precautions to Protect Workers from Summer Heat Hazards.
