Esther Rada’s new single comes out just before the new year, and it’s no coincidence. “In the desert”, was written out of soul-searching reflections of the special musician, who chose to take the pain – for a decision to be better.

“I sat down to write this song from a somewhat painful place,” says Rada about the new piece. “Upon us as a society and a nation, and on the division we are experiencing. But I chose to come out of it with hope, specifically for the new year. When we are facing ourselves at the end of the day, we can always decide to start from scratch tomorrow, better.”

Words:

Dazzling lights
Looks like an answer
Through captive eyes
Everything looks good
And every poor response
looks like love
What does it matter anyway
Everything went up in flames

We danced until the end
We jumped without thinking
the whole mess
Someone will pick up
Everyone is very wise
Minimum philosopher
A sea of waves and pride
that left no shore

lost in the desert
until something breaks
We’ve already been there
We didn’t change anything
Looking at the mountain
We were happy when he came up
We swore that tomorrow
Let’s start all over
