One Dead, Nine Injured in Cipularang Toll Road Collision

The travel vehicle, operated by a driver identified only as IS, reportedly drifted into the adjacent lane and collided with the rear of a dump truck.
The impact caused notable damage to both vehicles. The front of the travel vehicle sustained severe damage, while the dump truck suffered damage to its rear right side. Both vehicles came to a stop partially obstructing lanes one and the shoulder of the road, facing north.
Victims Identified, Hospitalized
Ten individuals were impacted by the collision. Sadly, passenger Tatang Muhidin was pronounced dead at the scene. The nine injured passengers – identified as Ignatius Cristian Saputra, Kristian Solomon, Aldelya, Reinitha Jasmine Ferdinand, Theresa marbella Louis, Renisa, Gema Muhammad, Putri, and evander Octavianus Karyadi – were transported to Abdul Rozak Hospital in Purwakarta for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.
Investigation and Traffic management
Authorities, working in conjunction with jasamarga, the toll road operator, promptly launched a crime scene investigation. Both vehicles were removed from the roadway with the assistance of tow trucks and transported to the Jatiluhur tow pool for further examination. “The temporary suspicion that the cause of the accident was fatigue and sleepiness on the part of the travel driver,” the official stated to reporters.
