Alongside civil social movements, the impeached federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol called a demonstration for June 4 in defense of justice, freedom and democracy. The forecast is that acts occur throughout Brazil. During a statement held this Wednesday, the 24th, the former prosecutor recalled the demonstrations held during 2013 and stated that it is necessary to fight against the arbitrariness of institutions and abuses of power. “As long as we live bent to those who practice arbitrariness, we will never build the country we dream of. As long as we live with our knees bent to a system that enslaves the Brazilian people, that steals, that plunders, we will never build the Brazil of our dreams”, he claimed. He also criticized the impeachment of his mandate and defended that he prefers to lose political power facing the powerful than to disappoint his voters. “We will be on the streets, fighting within the law, with order, in a legitimate way, raising our voice for justice, freedom and democracy”, he indicated. Deltan further stated that he understands that some people may be afraid to take to the streets, but he would be honored to stand alongside those “who have the courage to fight for the country”. The movements Fora Corruptos, Grita, Olho no Congresso Brasil, Vem Pra Rua, MBL, Curitiba Contra Corrupção, Mude and the Ranking of Politicians supported the call.
