Myrcha’s Home Becomes Focal Point in Property Dispute
Myrcha and his parliamentary spouse are facing scrutiny over renting a Warsaw apartment while owning property near the capital.
- Reporters allegedly harassed Arkadiusz Myrcha at his Błonie home.
- Myrcha claims the property was a donation from his parents.
- he states the Błonie house is unfinished and uninhabitable.
- Myrcha explains the Warsaw apartment is for tax purposes related to his children’s schooling.
In response to mounting questions, Myrcha shared that the house in Błonie was received as a donation from his parents. The deputy minister of justice explained that the property is still undergoing finishing touches and is not yet suitable for habitation. This, he stated, forces the couple to rent an apartment in a prestigious Warsaw district.
“Stop harassing us! You’re showing up at our house. Filming, shouting at children, or blocking the gate is simply harassment,” Myrcha wrote. “I will take legal steps. We have a right to privacy. if you have questions, direct them to the Sejm or our offices.”
Myrcha further elaborated in a letter to the parliamentary ethics commission, explaining that his parliamentary duties keep him in Warsaw for most of the week. “To provide children with a place in public educational institutions, I had to become a taxpayer in Warsaw. Therefore, the Warsaw residence is for purely tax needs,” he assured.
