jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) John Wempi Wetipo encouraged regional governments (Pemda) to provide optimal services for the community.
This was conveyed by the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs when opening the 2024 Minimum Service Standards (SPM) Awards which took place at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4).
Wempi explained that the 2024 SPM Awards which were held by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) through the Directorate General of Regional Development (Ditjen Bangda) aimed to increase regional government commitment in carrying out mandatory affairs related to basic community services.
“It is hoped that SPM will guarantee the realization of individual community rights, as well as guarantee access to basic services that must be provided by regional governments in accordance with applicable laws and regulations,” said Deputy Minister of Home Affairs John Wempi.
Wempi said that 2023 will be the fifth year of implementing the SPM.
Based on the results of monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of SPM implementation in the regions, in general there is an increasing trend in the average SPM achievement index value.
This figure, namely in 2019 it was 52.53 percent, in 2020 it was 62.45 percent.
Then in 2021 it will be 69.71 percent, in 2022 it will be 76.94 percent, and in 2023 it will be 83.29 percent.
