jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly Hidayat Nur Wahid said that the first time a dissenting opinion or different opinion appeared was when judges at the Constitutional Court (MK) decided on an Election Results Dispute (PHPU).

It is known that three judges at the Constitutional Court expressed dissenting opinions when the institution decided on PHPU for the 2024 presidential election.

“In their decision, this is the first time that the constitutional judges have not unanimously agreed regarding the existence of fraud in the presidential election,” said HNW, Hidayat Nur Wahid’s nickname, in his press statement, Thursday (25/4).

The MK on Monday (22/4) rejected the PHPU application for the 2024 presidential election submitted by Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

Three judges, Saldi Isra, Enny Nurbaningsih, Arief Hidayat expressed dissenting opinions in the decision.

According to HNW, the different views of the three judges in deciding PHPU for the 2024 presidential election need to be considered together.

The main thing, said the senior PKS politician, was to create a higher quality implementation of political contestation in the future than before.

“In order to improve the quality of implementation and results of future elections, including simultaneous regional elections in the next few months,” said HNW.

HNW believes that the different views of the three judges in deciding PHPU for the 2024 presidential election need to be the basis for preventing the politicization of social assistance.
