State Duma deputy Viktor Vodolatsky said that the Russian Pantsir missile and gun system shot down a missile fired from Ukraine over Taganrog. This information was confirmed by a RIA Novosti source in the emergency services of the region, specifying that rocket fragments fell on the local airfield.

“My colleagues, State Duma deputies, who are not far away, they confirm that the rocket flew from Ukraine towards the Beriev airfield in Taganrog, our Pantsirs worked it out, and it did not fly,” Mr. Vodolatsky told Interfax. He added that there were no casualties. The interlocutor of RIA Novosti suggested that the projectile was fired from the Tochka U missile system. “There are no casualties or destruction,” he said.

Since February 24, Russia, on the orders of Vladimir Putin, has been conducting a military special operation to “denazify and demilitarize” Ukraine.
