What US singer Anastacia (54, “I’m Outta Love”) experienced is enough for three lifetimes. She beat breast cancer twice and has lived with the chronic intestinal disease Crohn’s disease since she was a child. She gets her strength from music!
And now she thanks her German fan community with an album full of encouraging songs!

First and foremost was the celebration anthem “Days like this” by the Toten Hosen!
In the BILD interview, Anastacia reveals how the cover song “Best Days” came about: “We contacted Campino. And he immediately said: ‘If Anastacia wants to sing my song, then she’s welcome to do so!’ I was really excited because Campino’s song was made for me!”

Why? “The energy of the song and its positive message suit me!” She didn’t know the song before, just like the others (including Johannes Oerding, the Scorpions, Tokio Hotel, Udo Lindenberg, Peter Maffay). But now she has “listened to so much German music and realized that there are some really great German hits.”
Anastacia has been a superstar in Germany for a long time. She had her most successful time in the 2000s with her catchy tunes like “I’m Outta Love” and “Paid My Dues”.

And what does Campino say about that? Helene Fischer has already sung “Days like these”, but he doesn’t know this version. But he likes what Anastacia did with it: “It’s nice to hear the song from a real singer. The quality is certainly better sung than the original…”

Anastacia and Campino have not yet met in person, says the US singer. But: “We’ll do that soon!” There was “mutual praise” – and a big surprise! Anastacia: “He sang the demo version in English, which I didn’t know…”
She didn’t know that his mother was born in England. Campino “sounded really completely different” and had no “English accent” when he sang in German.
Anastacia: “I called him and said: ‘I didn’t recognize you because you sang like an Englishman!'”
