BJP against the re-instatement of MLA Sanjay Rathore, accused in connection with the death of Tik Tok star in Maharashtra. Sanjay, who was the forest minister in Uddhav Thackeray’s cabinet, resigned following the allegations. After making Sanjay a minister again, BJP state vice-president Chitra Vagh came out with criticism.
Chitra said that it was unfortunate that Sanjay, who was accused in the death of Maharashtra’s daughter Pooja Chavan, was again made a minister. Chitra also stated that the fight against him will continue. BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, who had come out with severe criticism against Rathore while he was in the opposition, was sworn in as a minister in the government where he remains the Deputy Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde took a stand to protect Sanjay after joining the rebel faction of the Shiv Sena. Eknath Shinde said that even during the previous government, the police had given a clean chit to Sanjay. That is why he was made a minister again. Eknath Shinde said that he is ready for discussion if anyone has objections. Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiah had accused the woman’s death of murder.
It is alleged that Sanjay was in a relationship with the Tik Tok star and when the problem between the two escalated, the woman committed suicide. The special team that investigated the incident found that Sanja was not involved in the suicide. Sanjay also came into the picture when Eknath Shinde came to power after bringing down the Maha Vikas Aghadi government and reshuffled the cabinet. After taking oath of office today, BJP itself came out with protest.
