Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law, according to which drivers who have not paid toll roads will have a 50% discount on paying off the fine. Document published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
According to the text of the law, the 50% discount will be valid for 20 days. It applies to fines for non-payment of travel on roads of regional, intermunicipal and local significance, as well as on private public roads.
The law will come into force on September 1, 2024. Now the fine for non-payment of travel on toll roads is 1,500 rubles. for drivers of passenger cars, 5000 rubles. – for truck drivers.
Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, including Art. 32.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which establishes the possibility of paying fines at a discount during the grace period, were introduced by a group of State Duma deputies on March 9. The law was adopted by the lower house of parliament on July 25 and approved by the Federation Council on July 28.
