jpnn.comJAKARTA – Head of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani held an audience with the newly appointed Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam), Hadi Tjahjanto.

During the meeting, Benny and Hadi were ready to beat up syndicates who practice human trafficking which often affects Indonesian Migrant Workers.

“We talked about how to deal with Indonesian migrant workers in the face of the practice of human trafficking which still continues to this day,” said Benny, in a press conference at the office of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (5/3/2024).

Benny also responded regarding the positive trend in handling human trafficking syndicate cases, in the sense that human trafficking cases have decreased.

This can be achieved due to cooperation between ministries or institutions, especially in terms of law enforcement, namely the National Police.

Furthermore, Benny called the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi a figure who was tough on the practice of human trafficking.

According to Benny, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi will “beat up” the human trafficking syndicates.

“In the context of the syndicate brush that has been the BP2MI program, it turns out that there is a tougher leader, namely Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi. “So, I feel that what I did was very hard, but he was harder,” said Benny.
