Coimbatore: The training camp for the Coimbatore District Badminton Team, which will participate in the State Badminton Tournament, was completed yesterday.
Badminton tournament for boys and girls under 19 years of age organized by Tamil Nadu Badminton Association will start tomorrow at Virudhunagar VNHSN College.
The selection for the Coimbatore district team players and players participating in the competition was conducted by the District Badminton Association. 20 people were selected in the male team and 20 people were selected in the female team.
The training camp for the selected players started on 30th and ended yesterday. At the closing ceremony, the students were given sportswear to participate in the state competition. Players who perform well in the state tournament will be selected for the Tamil Nadu team.
