Industrialist Ilango inaugurated the district level badminton competition held at Senthikumara Nadar College, Virudhunagar under the leadership of Sarparajan, Secretary of the College Management Committee. Principal of the college Dr. Sundarabandian gave a felicitation speech. In the doubles final held for professors, Sivaram-Senthilkumar won the first prize, Prem Shankar-Nagarajan from Senthikumara Nadar College won the 2nd prize and Suresh Ramkumar-Yogeswaran Balaji won the 3rd prize. Sivakasi MCMC in Open Doubles Kathirvel-Selva from the team got the first position, Saravanan-Ramesh team from Virudhunagar Wiki team got the 2nd position and Kumar-Karthik got the 3rd position. In the junior and senior mixed doubles category, Mani team won the first position and Sriram-Sebastian 2nd position. In the women’s under-19 category, YRTV Janani bagged the first position and bagged the Shiva Murugan trophy. M.G.G. Malar Vidya stood 2nd. In Men’s Over 19 Category, S.B.K. Ashokumar from the Badminton team won the Prithi Mathiprakash Memorial Spinning Cup by winning the first position. 2nd place was won by Ramana Prithivi and Surya.
