With a hesitant beat of its wings, the bird cautiously takes off, tumbles and leaves, persevering. In Saint-Forgeux, this 4-hectare estate is home to one of the main care centers dedicated to wildlife in France. Perched in the Lyonnais mountains, since 1998 it has welcomed injured wild animals (or isolated juveniles) from the Drôme, Ardèche, Loire and Rhône without discrimination: the overwhelming majority (85%) are birds – swifts and pigeons in the lead -, the remaining 15% of mammals.
