The study found that if the TV, AC is left on completely unattended after use, that is, only the electrical equipment is turned off without turning on the switch, the AC, TV, charger will all draw electricity a little at a time without making any noise.
The study revealed that the cost of this would be up to Rs.1000 per year for the additional electricity bill.
While many electronic devices are operated remotely, many do not turn off their switches after use. In this connection, it has been found that if the switch is not turned on after using the TV, AC, charger, etc., they will continue to draw electricity.

According to the study, leaving the switch unattended can cost up to 174 units of electricity unnecessarily and cost up to Rs 1,000.
This 174 unit of electricity can operate two 10 watt LED bulbs uninterrupted for one year. 5 Star AC can be used for 116 hours.
The study looked at TVs, set-top boxes, AC and sound systems. More than 70% of respondents in this study reported not switching off the switch on 4 electrical devices.
