He resigned Yannis Dragasakishistorical figure, from its Central Committee SYRIZA. As he states in his letter to the secretary of the party, Rania Svigou, which he also shares with Stefanos Kasselakis “my complete disagreement with the course of SYRIZA-PS under the new leadership does not allow me to remain a member of the Central Committee”.
Mr. Dragasakis emphasizes that “as long as the current situation lasts, I do not wish to participate in any institutional body, institutional party function or public representation of SYRIZA-PS”.
He clarifies, however, that “I remain a member of it and will continue, to the best of my ability, to fight for the values, ideas and ethos of the Left inside and outside SYRIZA-PS”.

With this letter I resign from the KE.
As I mention in the attached text:
“…my complete disagreement with the course of SYRIZA-PS under the new leadership does not allow me to remain a member of the Central Committee. Since various proposals are being made to me by members of the party, I thank them and clarify that, as long as the current situation lasts, I do not wish to participate in any institutional body, institutional party function or public representation of SYRIZA-PS. Of course, I remain a member of it and will continue, to the best of my ability, to fight for the values, ideas and ethos of the Left inside and outside SYRIZA-PS.
The attached text is also my first contribution to the pre-congress dialogue which I hope will take place in view of the party Congress
