Green Bay Blizzard Sign Wide Receiver Draysean Hudson for 2026 Season
The Green Bay Blizzard have added a seasoned indoor football veteran to their roster, officially signing wide receiver Draysean Hudson for the 2026 season. The 6-foot, 175-pound receiver brings a wealth of experience from his previous stints in the Indoor Football League (IFL), aiming to bolster an already potent Blizzard offense.
A Proven IFL Contributor
Hudson, a native of Berkeley, California, is entering his third season of IFL action. While this will be his first season with the Green Bay Blizzard, he’s already established himself as a dynamic playmaker. He previously spent two seasons with the Sioux Falls Storm, contributing significantly to their offensive success.
In 2023, Hudson made an immediate impact with the Storm, recording 95 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries, alongside 418 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 31 receptions across 14 games. The Storm finished third in the IFL in total points scored and ultimately captured the Eastern Conference Championship, providing Hudson with valuable playoff experience. He continued to be a key contributor in 2024, adding 83 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 13 attempts, 448 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on 35 receptions, and 15 yards on one kick return in another 14-game season.
Navigating League Changes
Following the Storm’s dormancy at the end of 2024, Hudson briefly joined the San Diego Strike Force during the 2025 season. In a single game with the Strike Force, he demonstrated his scoring ability with one carry for six yards and a touchdown, as well as 35 receiving yards on three receptions. This brief stint highlights his adaptability and consistent performance, even amidst team transitions.
Blizzard Look to Build on Success
The Green Bay Blizzard are coming off a highly successful season, finishing first in the IFL in points per game. Hudson is expected to integrate seamlessly into the offense and provide a reliable target for the Blizzard’s quarterbacks.
“I thank God for this opportunity,” Hudson shared in a team release. “I’m thankful to join this great organization and look forward to working with our coaches and my teammates. I’m excited [to] represent and compete in front of one of the league’s best fan bases. Go Blizz!”
Hudson will report to Green Bay, Wisconsin, for Blizzard Training Camp as the 2026 IFL season approaches, poised to contribute to a team already positioned for championship contention.
