Southern Railway is going to set up drinking water treatment plants called RO at nine railway stations in Chennai-Tamil along with private participation.

We are working to identify railway owned sites and develop them for commercial use and passenger amenities.

Drinking water treatment plants can be set up on behalf of willing public sector, private companies, large companies and voluntary organisations. Railway will provide water and electricity facility for this. Free drinking water will be provided to passengers.
