A 59-year-old driver, identified as Romeu Ferreira Borges, died late Saturday afternoon (5), after falling with a truck into a hole on the banks of the MS-384 highway, in Caracol, a city 385 kilometers from Campo Grande.
According to the incident report, the Military Police team went to attend to the traffic accident and upon arriving at the scene, they found the truck fallen into the hole. Help was also called and found that the driver was already dead.
With that, the Expertise and the PMR (Military Highway Police) were called. Colleagues of the driver said that Romeu had left Porto Murtinho alone at 1:30 pm to go to Bela Vista. The accident happened around 4 pm. He was alone in the truck and the case was registered as a death to be clarified at the Caracol Police Station.
