As part of the unit’s covert activity, the detectives identified suspicious movement of the women who had landed from a flight from Garnia, and during the analysis and monitoring of the movement of the suspects along the route of entry into Israel, from the plane’s sleeve, through passport control to the collection of luggage, the detectives were able to link the figures to the crimes of the Balders.

In checking the luggage of three of the suspects, the detectives discovered over 15 kilograms of substances suspected to be drugs that were hidden in shampoo bottles and boxes of food and health supplements, and these were transferred to the forensic laboratories of the Israel Police for further evidence extraction. Another suspect, fourth in number, who was also on the flight, was arrested outside of Israel together with her partner.

The four women and the two men were imprisoned, with the intention of the investigators of the Nethav area police to bring them to a hearing in court with a request to extend their detention in accordance with the needs of the investigation.
