DTV Dhinakaran Re-elected as AAMUK General Secretary

Chennai – In a general committee meeting held today in Chennai, DTV Dhinakaran has been re-elected as the General Secretary of Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AAMUK).

The meeting, which saw the election of new executives for the party, resulted in Dhinakaran securing the position of General Secretary. Additionally, C. Gopal, a former member of parliament, and S. Anpahagan, also a former member of parliament, were chosen as the President of the party.

Prior to the election, the General Assembly passed 14 resolutions condemning the DMK government for its handling of various issues. One such resolution criticized the DMK government for its lackluster response to the Karnataka government’s plans to construct the Meghadatu Dam across the Cauvery River. Other resolutions focused on the DMK government’s failure to fulfill its electoral promises, urging the central government to lower petrol and diesel prices, and calling for the abandonment of the Parantur airport project and the NLC mine expansion project.

The re-election of DTV Dhinakaran as the General Secretary highlights the party’s confidence in his leadership. AAMUK is expected to continue its efforts in addressing the concerns of the people and working towards the betterment of the state.
