Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ faces stiff competition in advance bookings. The film has sold 1,25,000 tickets till now. ‘Chup’ gave tough competition to recently released Bollywood films like Lal Singh Chadha, Gangubhai Katyawadi, Shamshera and Samrat Prithiraaj. ‘Chup’ is the much awaited Dulquer film.

Chup’s preview show for the audience ahead of the release was highly praised. Generally, the preview show is organized only for critics and celebrities of the film industry. Unlike that, the crew of Chup has prepared a special preview show for the audience. It got a great response. ‘Chup’ is Dulquer’s third Bollywood film.

R. Chup is directed by Balki. Along with Balki, Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani have written the screenplay and dialogues of the film. Pooja Bhatt and Shreya Dhanvantari are playing the lead roles in the film. It is believed that the film will be one of the best roles in Dulquer’s career.

The film’s preview show tickets were sold out in just 10 minutes.

‘Chup’ is a romantic psychological film about the pain and revenge an artist goes through due to bad reviews and negative reviews. It is believed that the film will be one of the best roles in Dulquer’s career.

The film is an intriguing crime drama involving a Guru Dutt devotee. The film revolves around a serial killer who kills film critics for giving extremely negative reviews. It is an homage to Guru Dutt’s 1959 film ‘Kagas Ke Phool’.

In an interview, Dulquer Salmaan opened up about his films receiving bad reviews. “I have often read bad things about myself in film reviews. People have even written that I should quit films. I was not made for that. It was written that I shouldn’t be here, the film wasn’t meant for me,” said Dulquer.

In an exclusive interview with News18, Dulquer Salmaan, who has completed a decade in the film industry, spoke about the times when his performances received negative responses. “When I entered films, I don’t remember anyone praising me more. I had a lack of confidence and was shy. When I started acting, I always held back. I understood why the critics criticized me.

I am enjoying my acting journey and the characters I have played. Over time I began to overcome my fear. Now I have learned to be a little kinder to myself. “I’ve realized that it’s reflected in the reviews I’ve been getting lately,” says Dulquer.
