Abdul Wahid, director of the Taliban news agency, said:
An earthquake hit the northeastern province of Padakshan on Tuesday. The earthquake measured 5.1 on the Richter scale. Tremors of the earthquake were felt in its epicenter, Shagnan district and surrounding areas.
However, he said that there was no immediate information that there was any loss of life or property due to this earthquake.
