Economy Minister Nir Barkat was today (Friday) satisfied with the state budget, which was approved for the next two years by the government despite the differences of opinion in the last day.
“I thank the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, the Budget Division of the Treasury as well as the people of the Ministry of Economy for their hard work that brings great news to the Israeli economy and the fight against the cost of living,” said Barkat. “We managed to bring a dramatic addition of about a billion NIS to the Ministry of Economy, something that will make it possible to implement my plan for a war of attrition in the cost of living, reducing regulation and increasing the exports of the State of Israel.”
“Another huge news is a special budget of NIS 400 million for the ‘Barkat-Porter’ program that I initiated together with Prof. Michael Porter from Harvard University and will allow investments in projects that will grow our economy and bring a lot of money into the State of Israel,” added Barkat.
