This November 10 at the Grand Rex, a dark room will highlight the saddles. The program for the fourth edition of the “Tous en Selle!” festival. » will be unveiled this Friday at the Parisian cinema Le Grand Rex. Like other years, this great night of cycling on the big screen will allow fans to discover other visions of the world of cycling than the usual one of the Tour de France.
During an evening lasting more than three hours, eight new films lasting between seven and thirty minutes will be screened. Tickets (from 10 to 15 euros) are on sale on the Tous en Selle website or at the Grand Rex.
Films with very different stories
In the festival-goers’ bag, lots of adventures between turns of the wheels on the asphalt or gravel and blows to the heart. For example, “Alone in the Adventure” will allow you to follow the incredible journeys undertaken by Cédric Tassan, a solo cycling adventurer. “North Calling” will chill the mood with the portrait of Arnaud Manzanini and his journey of a thousand miles of icy and snowy roads from Lapland to the North Cape.
But we won’t just project the physical performance on the screen. Emotion and resilience will also be present. Thus “The 9 wheels” will tell the story of how a family whose mother is ill turned a camper van into a traveling family home that allows the children to live out their passion for mountain biking. And “Seventh Times” will immerse us in the daily life of Marie-Sophie who rebuilds herself by getting on a bike.
Note that the Biclou du Parisien series, a partner of the festival, will be present with the film “Souffrir en saddle” which explores a taboo subject: seat pain and pathologies among cyclists. Women and men, couriers and ultra-distance champions have agreed to give in.
Among them, Laurianne Plaçais, just crowned with her title of ultracycling world champion in front of all her male competitors. La Savoyarde, who will be present at the Grand Rex, won the Bikingman. A series of seven rounds of 1,000 km each without any assistance or refueling and with an altitude difference of between 14,000 and 20,000 meters…
A big tour throughout France

In a lighter register, rugby heavyweights (Christian Califano, Damien Traille and Lénaïg Corson) will be filmed attacking a few passes in the Hautes-Pyrénées including the legendary Col d’Aspin. After the Grand Rex, the festival will leave for a major tour in 35 cities and 5 countries. All in the saddles and all in the gym.
