A seasoned healthcare design leader has joined DLR Group, bringing over 15 years of experience to the firm’s Northwest operations. Eileen Gottemoeller, AIA, EDAC, recently stepped into the role of senior associate and healthcare leader, signaling a commitment to user-centered design in the healthcare sector.
“Her expertise in medical planning and her passion for collaborative design processes will help connect healthcare professionals with design teams to create spaces that elevate care and operational outcomes,” said Mark Tiscornia, AIA, ACHA, Principal, Global Healthcare Leader with DLR Group.
Expanding Healthcare Design in the Northwest
DLR Group is bolstering its healthcare portfolio with a new leader focused on patient and staff needs.
In her new position, Gottemoeller will spearhead the expansion of DLR Group’s healthcare projects throughout the Northwest. Her core philosophy revolves around fostering direct communication between those who deliver healthcare and the design teams shaping their environments, ensuring each project is tailored to the specific needs of its users.
Gottemoeller’s previous role at Providence Health Services involved overseeing facility planning for nine hospitals and more than 400 clinics across the Puget Sound region. She holds a Master of Architecture in health and wellness from the University of Kansas and a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Missouri, an accredited interior design program. She is a licensed architect in Washington and is EDAC certified.
