Doha: Before presenting the title to Argentina who defeated France in the World Cup final, captain Lionel Messi was dressed in a special outfit, Bisht, by the Emir of Qatar and the FIFA President. The bisht worn by Messi when he lifted the World Cup was priced at $2,200. This unique dress is made by a company owned by Saleem. Salim’s company prepared two sizes of bisht for the World Cup final.
One was worn by Messi and the other was the size of France captain Hugo Lloris. Saleem says that after the World Cup final, the demand for Bishtin has increased. Usually eight to 10 bishtas were sold daily. However, on Monday after the finals, around 150 were sold from the shop. Three Bishths of the same model worn by Lionel Messi were also sold. Salim told AFP that people were queuing up in front of the shop. After wearing Bisht, the Argentine players were chanting their chants, holding a replica of the World Cup trophy.

But Salim said that when a sheikh wears a bisht on a person, it means that he respects and admires that person.
