On October 13, the webinar of the cycle “Frontiers in medicine of the developmental age” organized by Gian Luigi Marseglia, director of the pediatric clinic at San Matteo in Pavia

What will the child of the future be like? This is the question to which Vassilios Fanos, full professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cagliari will provide food for thought during a webinar scheduled for October 13, starting at 5.50 pm. This is the second appointment of the cycle “Frontiers in medicine of the developmental age – an hour of reflections”, organized by Gian Luigi Marseglia, full professor of Pediatrics and, among other qualifications, director of the pediatric clinic at San Matteo in Pavia.

The project is supported by Dompé and for participation (free) you have to register on the site nadirex.org. After the intervention of Fanos, there will be that of Tomaso Vecchi, professor of Psychology in Pavia, who will deal with as children remember. The conclusions are entrusted to Marseglia himself and to the journalist of the Corriere Simona Ravizza.

“With these seminars we wanted to give arguments for reflection on topics of a not only clinical, but also psychological and more broadly social and cultural nature that concern the child in the course of development”, explains Marseglia. The previous meeting, in September, saw as protagonists Fabio Mosca, director of the Mangiagalli Institute in Milan (on the theme Born today in Italy) and the psychologist and psychotherapist Fulvio Scaparro (Parents and children at the time of Covid-19). Marseglia continues: «The first seminar was a great success, with over five thousand participants. We address not only pediatricians and general practitioners, but also jurists, psychologists. And, again, we are open to the participation of teachers, pedagogues, and parents. The approach of our meetings is yes, scientific, but with a broad vision. Thus, tomorrow, the theme of the child of the future will be addressed from a psycho-social point of view, not a purely clinical one. While we will then talk about the new acquisitions on how children create and keep memories in their heads ».
