(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, MARCH 27 – The Emilia-Romagna Region has renewed the exemption of the health ticket for outpatient services for workers in difficulty due to having lost their jobs and their dependent family members. This is a commitment that has continued since 2009. The free direct distribution of class C drugs, included in company handbooks, to poor families identified by social services has also been confirmed. This was foreseen in the last session by the regional council which allocated 600 thousand euros to cover the costs of the measure.
“Public and universal healthcare – say the councilors for healthcare Raffaele Donini, for welfare Igor Taruffi and for work Vincenzo Colla – that the Emilia-Romagna Region defends is also that which guarantees services from the healthcare system to those who find themselves in difficulty economic and cannot pay the ticket. With this measure we support those who have lost their jobs or have been forced to close their business and their family. And from this year we are taking a step forward in bureaucratic simplification, because self-certification will be enough to obtain exemption”. (HANDLE).
