Last September, a national vaccination campaign was launched and offered to all students in the 5th grade.

According to data from the French Public Health, in Guadeloupe, 31.5% of adolescent girls and 6.8% of 15-year-old boys have started their vaccination schedule against papilloma viruses.

In Martinique, these figures are 21.9% for girls and 6.3% for 15-year-old boys.

Vaccination coverage against HPV increased slightly in 2023 with gains of 5 points among young girls in Guadeloupe and 4.3 points in Martinique and coverage that more than doubled among boys compared to 2022, although it is still below 7%.

In Guadeloupe, increases in vaccination coverage of 8 points among girls and 5 points among boys were observed between the beginning and the end of the first phase of the campaign, without being able to specify the gains directly attributable to this campaign at the time this is the ARS.

The effectiveness of vaccination against HPV is noted in countries where the vaccination coverage rate is high.

Two more meetings are planned:
