“I’m going to get it and I’ll be in top shape again soon! “Moved to tears, the fetish actor of the “Fires of Love” Éric Braeden announced in a video posted on his Facebook account that he was suffering from prostate cancer.

In his video facing the camera, the interpreter of Victor Newman explains that he “started having prostate problems” while he “recovered from knee surgery”. “I could no longer urinate”, testifies the 82-year-old comedian, revealing that it was “one of the most painful experiences of his life”.

Eric Braeden therefore went to see a urologist who told him the sad news. “I underwent an operation and they removed the tumor but I still have important cancer cells,” he reveals, adding that he is forced to undergo immunotherapy treatment, which is supposed to stimulate his immune defences.

“I appreciate your support”

“I learned to listen to my body better,” delivers the actor at the end of the video before pausing for a few moments, moved. “I appreciate your support,” he adds finally before saying a few words of encouragement intended for people with cancer.

Actor of German origin naturalized American, Eric Braeden is best known for interpreting since 1980 the role of tycoon Victor Newman, a key character of the famous television show “The Young and the Restless”. A role for which he received a Daytime Emmy Awards in 1998, an American television award.
