Erling Haaland: BVB star injured – guesswork continues – Bundesliga

by time news

The guesswork continues!

Superstar Erling Haaland (21) was examined in Dortmund on Sunday and Monday after his thigh injury in the 3-2 win in Hoffenheim. A diagnosis should actually give clarity. Actually…

“According to the medical bulletin, Haaland is suffering from muscular problems, which will require treatment and further examinations in the coming days,” says the BVB website.

And further: “We wish Erling that he will be free of symptoms again as soon as possible and can do what he likes to do most: score goals for BVB.”

What can that mean? Mystery about the Haaland injury!

There is initially little indication of an all-clear after he grabbed the bar on Saturday…

According to BILD information, Haaland is suspected of having a torn muscle fiber. But the Pott-Klub still has hope that Torweger will be able to pull it off before the Leverkusen game (February 6th).

It has not yet been decided whether the superstar will complete rehab in Marbella (Spain) again, as he did with his hip flexor injury in October/November 2021 – or whether he will have to stay in Dortmund.

The fact is: It is his eighth injury at BVB since May 2020. He missed 22 games.

A long absence would be dramatic for Dortmund. With Haaland, BVB scored an average of 2.21 Bundesliga points this season, without Haaland only 2.00 points. Extrapolated over a whole season, that’s a seven-point difference.

When he returns remains open…
