(Quebec) Two motorists are fighting for their lives following a face-to-face meeting that took place late Friday afternoon on Route 116 in Cleveland, Estrie.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) indicated that the violent collision was reported to it around 5:15 p.m.
“For a reason that remains to be determined, there is one of the vehicles which deviated from its lane,” said Sergeant Hélène St-Pierre, a spokesperson for the SQ.
The two victims were alone in their respective vehicles.
They were seriously injured and transported to a hospital center. The police said that their state of health is considered “critical”.
The road was closed to traffic. An accident scene reconstruction expert was dispatched to try to shed light on the collision.
