In 2025, the European Championship among mixed teams will be held in Baku.
As reported by İdman.biz, this decision was made by the European Badminton Confederation (ECB).
Baku’s hosting of the high-level ECB Congress in 2023 was highly appreciated, emphasizing that the capital of Azerbaijan already plays an important role in the European badminton family. It was also noted that one stage of the qualifying stage of the continental championship between the men’s and women’s teams of our capital was organized at a high level.
President of the European Badminton Confederation Sven Serre said that cooperation with the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation is very productive: “We are looking forward to returning to Baku again.”
Secretary General Ramil Hajiyev accepted the holding of the continental championship of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation.
It should be noted that Edi Reski Dwichayo, Keisha Fatima Zahra and Era Maftuh represent our country under the leadership of head coach Morteza Validarvi at the ongoing European Championship.
